Fine Dining at Bird Key Yacht Club

BKYC, with its stunning views of Sarasota Bay and the Sarasota skyline, offers formal and casual dining to rival the best restaurants in town.

Bird Key Yacht Club, regarded as a jewel on Sarasota Bay, has undergone significant transformations after fifty years of nautical tradition. The dining room and reception area were elegantly redecorated last year, and an attractively updated façade soon will welcome everyone who approaches the main entrance. 

The Club proudly offers members and guests the flavor-filled cuisine of Executive Chef Joseph A. Santangini, CCC, who came to Bird Key from Amangani, the luxury resort hotel in Jackson Hole, WY, where on occasion he prepared meals for US Presidents, politicians, actors, and country music stars. His TV credits include spots on the network now known as Cooking Channel, the Travel Channel, and Fox News Sports. In 2011, Chef Santangini was named an Honorary Member of the Resort Food Executive Committee (www.rfec.org) thereby making Bird Key Yacht Club the first private club in America to be affiliated with the prestigious organization.   

From the finest dining to poolside casual, he can cater to satisfy every taste and to suit absolutely any occasion, for special events from two to 250. His menus showcase the best ingredients available: seafood straight from the Gulf, fresh produce from area farms, and organic meats.     

With several dining areas and menu options you will find the fine dining of our Main Dining Room, the casual ambience of the Sun Deck, and the come as you are atmosphere of the outdoor patio Aft Deck to be the perfect spots for all your dining needs.  Wednesday nights are special low price events with Happy Hour pricing and "Small Plates" tapas like offerings. Friday night TGIF has become one of the most popular events of the week, with half priced drinks, Chef specials  and a crowd of friendly people.

Flexible dining options that fit active lifestyles:  Dining is sometimes elegant and sometimes rushed.  Our Lunch, Dinner, Pub Night and Children’s menus allow the full range of options to fit the varied needs of our members.

Coming by Boat or want a prepared meal for home?  Call ahead and place an order from any of the menus.
Take out Food : For the convenience of members and individuals on our 60-Day Program , everything listed on our menus is available as “take-out”. Simply call in your order to the Club at 953-4455 and it will soon be ready for you to pick up. Menus are also available at Reception for those who would like to take a copy home.  Boaters frequently arrange with our kitchen to prepare a picnic lunch, a four-course meal or just some sandwiches to take on board for a day on the water.
