Interested in Membership at Bird Key Yacht Club?

Arrange a tour to get acquainted: The best way to see if Bird Key Yacht Club fits your interests is to schedule a visit with our membership representative, Barbara Palma. Barbara’s phone number is 953-4455 and her e-mail address is birdkeyyachtclub@birdkeyyc.com . We believe that joining a friendly, private club should be an easy, pleasant process and Barbara is just the person to start you on your way. She will be delighted to show you around and there are few better qualified to introduce you to the Club.

Try our 60-Day Introductory Program: To really understand the culture of any club you need to meet its members, attend some functions and participate in its programs. During our 60-Day Program you may participate in any activity and function we offer.  There are no up-front fees, dues, or F&B minimums….and any charges you incur can be paid with popular credit cards. Barbara Palma will explain the application process to you and arrange for you to meet someone from our Membership Committee who will answer any questions you may have about the Club as well as fully process your application. Our Committee is very responsive and within a day or two of completing your application you can be enjoying Life at Bird Key Yacht Club. Participation in the 60-Day Program is a one-time only event.

Apply for Membership: You may do this in one of two ways: If you wish, you may immediately apply for full membership or, if you are participating in our 60-Day Program, before your term expires. Currently, the Club has two categories of membership – Regular and Intermediate, and the category into which one falls is a function of age: Intermediate Members less than 45 years of age pay 25% of the Regular Member initiation fee, while those less than 55 years of age pay 50%. As members pass a new age milestone they pay the incremental initiation fee. In addition to this, all members pay annual dues and have an annual Food & Beverage minimum. All Regular and Intermediate Members have voting rights and may use the available tennis, marina and fitness center resources. Full details are available in the Application/Information packet.

Membership Approval and Welcome: The Board of Governors reviews and approves all new memberships on a monthly basis, and hosts a “Welcome Aboard” cocktails and dinner. This special event marks the official beginning of your membership in Bird Key Yacht Club.
