Golfing and Bird Key Yacht Club

Active golf program:  Members of Bird Key Yacht Club (BKYC) have an active golf program. The golf committee organizes regular tournaments and several special golfing events.   BKYC maintains reciprocal relationships with private clubs in Florida and throughout the country. These special relationships allow members to arrange golf outings while traveling.

Locally, BKYC has a very special relationship with Laurel Oak Country Club that allows members flexible and affordable access to outstanding golf courses. Golf and boating often get combined in the BKYC activities. The monthly cruises often have golfing events as part of the program.

Exclusive reciprocity: Members of BKYC have a special reciprocity arrangement that allows access to all LOCC resources throughout the year. During the season, Bird Key Yacht Club members will have the ability to play golf three times a month. All members have dining privileges and access to tennis, swimming and selected social programs. The best Golfing, Tennis and Boating program in Sarasota: Members of BKYC and LOCC have access to the best Golf, Tennis and Boating activities in Sarasota. LOCC has two world-class championship courses and 12 state-of-the-art clay courts. BKYC has three tennis courts and an active boating program. Both clubs have regular golf and tennis tournaments. Saturday morning at BKYC is a round robin tennis event for all members. Every month BKYC hosts a cruise to other marinas on the west coast of Florida. Members of BKYC will receive a reduction in initiation fees if they decide to become full members of LOCC.
